MAGICAL COCKTAILS INSPIRED BY HOUSE OF SPELLS HARRY POTTER SHOP IN LONDON


Summer in London have never been more magical and inspired on  all the magical drinks selections at the House of Spells Harry Potter Shop, we have created 4 enchanting cocktails to enjoy under the warm nights with friends and family.


With a weather better than the South of France and thinking on all the family we have created recipes  for everyone,  2 alcohol-free cocktails for children and 2 cocktails for adults.




INGREDIENTS

  • 200ml pomegranate juice
  • 2 tsp cherry concentrate
  • Ice cubes
  • 3 good dashes of Angostura bitters
  • 40ml Tropical Fruits 'UNICORN ESSENCE' House of Spells Potions
  • A twist of orange peel

METHOD

Pour the pomegranate juice, the Unicorn Essence and cherry concentrate into a tumbler of ice, then stir well before shaking in the Angostura bitters. The drink should have a bittersweet tang, so add more Angostura if needed. Twist the orange peel on top of the drink to release the oils.  The cherry concentrate gives an extra layer but isn’t essential. However, I recommend keeping the cherry concentrate and the Unicorn Essence in the fridge as a sugar-free cordial. It’s also delicious with hot water

You will need: a tumbler, shaker, strainer





For the herb syrup (makes 400ml)

200g sugar
200ml water
2 sprigs of rosemary
Method 

To make the syrup, put the sugar and water in a pan on a low heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves. Bring the syrup to a simmer, add the rosemary, and continue to simmer for 5–10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Strain the syrup into a sterilised bottle; it will keep in the fridge for two weeks. 
Combine the pear juice, lemon juice, Lemonade 'Serpents Venom' and 25ml of the syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake well. Strain into a rocks glass and top with a splash of sparkling water.
 Garnish with rosemary and a slice of pear or an orange slice. For a longer drink, add more Serpents Venom Potion.



INGREDIENTS


Tools: shaker, strainer
Garnish: lemon twist

In a shaker filled with ice, combine all the ingredients. Shake to combine, then strain into a chilled coupe and garnish




Striking the perfect balance between herbal, bright and creamy, this riff on the Piña Colada channels the spirit of a Mezcal Negroni when a red bitter aperitivo and two types of agave spirit enter the equation

INGREDIENTS


Tools: blender, strainer
Garnish: pineapple leaves, edible flower (optional)

Blend all of the ingredients with 6 ice cubes. Strain into a glass or mug filled with crushed ice.
